Nike calls this special pair of Nike Air Force 1s "Experimental." One glance at the design of the silhouette should reveal why. In brief, the shoe looks like it has been dipped into black, wet cement. This experimental design does not indicate what the shoe is, however. Instead of leather, synthetic fabric, or some other more common material, this shoe's upper is actually made of rubber. This is what gives its overlays — from the one winding around the heel to the prominent Nike Swoosh — the distorted and bumpy texture that they have. There are dark blue pull tabs both on the tongue and on the heel. There are further bits of dark blue on the tongue, and the sole has a traction pattern.
